Karol V. Brown is the author of two books, The first book was, “30 Lessons in Love, Leadership, and Legacy from Harriet Tubman”, which presented 30 lessons that taught readers about the character and strengths that Karol feels Harriet Tubman shows in her life stories.

Karol says, “Harriet Tubman’s stories demonstrate her leadership traits like brilliant communication skills, teamwork, and compassionate servant-leadership.

Teaching Artist

Social-Emotional Learning Curriculum

Karol works as a Teaching Artist in elementary schools, and feels that Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is important.

Each of her projects includes SEL lessons people can learn as they learn about Harriet Tubman.

Karol has a BS degree in Nutrition from the University of Dayton, OH, and a Master’s Degree in public health, Health Promotions, and Disease Prevention from Loma Linda University, CA.

 Karol is also an actor and storyteller.  Karol started portraying Harriet in 1999. She has shared Harriet Tubman’s stories as a jovial endearing elderly Aunt Harriet in schools, libraries, on stages, and in other locations.
